Light Therapy in Camp Hill, PA
What is Light Therapy?
InLight LED light therapy systems are photo-modulated devices that provide low-level light therapy (LLLT), or when multiple wavelengths are emitted simultaneously, polychromatic light therapy (PLT). The infrared, visible red and blue LEDs are the heart of this system, providing gentle but powerful non-coherent light. These devices use a carefully timed proprietary sequence of settings, known as pulses, to create an environment in which change may occur more rapidly, and consistently.
Light Therapy has been shown to:
Increase Circulation, Stimulate the production of Collagen which is the substance that holds cells together, Stimulates the release of ATP which is the major carrier of energy to all cells and allows cells to accept nutrients faster and get rid of waste products faster, Increase lymphatic system activity, Reduce the excitability of nervous tissue, Increase phagocytosis which clean up degenerated cells and infection site cleanup before the healing process can take place, Stimulate Acetylcholine release, Raises the temperature of the cells through a photochemical reaction and Stimulates tissue healing process of inflamed tissues, wounds, and ulcers.
Beneficial Effect of InLight Wellness Light Energy. The net result of light therapy is a cascade of beneficial chemical reactions throughout nerve cells that stimulate healing. This response can be directly related to blood flow. This enhanced localized blood flow improves tissue oxygenation and therefore, plays a role in the following:
- improved sensation which offers better gate and balance when walking.
- reduced pain which can allow for better sleep at night as well as reduced stinging and burning sensation in the extremities.
- increased oxygenation which acts to reduce inflammation.
- finally, increased circulation which offers the body decreased wound incidences and shorter healing times.

The InLight Medical products are legally marketed as a Class II Medical Device under FDA indications for use to temporarily relieve minor pain, stiffness and muscle spasms; and to temporarily increase local blood circulation. The light emitted from InLight Medical devices is within visible to infrared spectrum and consist of non-ironizing radiation, which is safe for use.
